Chapter ii The morning after

So we managed to while away the 9 hours until our next bus wondering aimlessly around a shopping center for 6 hours followed by several hours sat in he bus station trying to attract no attention.

We did learn while logged on an internet cafe, that one of our friends from Itacare was mugged yesterday at gun point! and pistol whipped for good measure after we left the bar earlier that night!!! Another signal never to drop your guard in Brazil.  (for those not acquainted with this term 'pistol whip' its the striking of an individual with the gun itself for effect)

However the bus arrived, we boarded and fell asleep for most of the journey, we would arrive in Lencois at 5.30 am.

Upon arriving we sleepily followed the Pousada owner back to our new accommodation and fell in to bed only to be greeted by what I can only describe as a bed made of wood it is the hardest mattress I have ever laid on, I may as well sleep on the floor. never mind eh!!!

Hopefully spending the next few days walking the national park which is spectacular so should have some great photos for the blog.
