No More bites

For all those who were obviously concerned with my health rather than taking the p1ss ;-) you know who you are. I have no more bites this morning!!!

However I have managed to loose my only jumper....doh! only saving grace is that i'm going to be in Brazil for the next 2 months jumpers wont be needed!

Anyway we went to see Eva Peron's grave yesterday and this was the craziest grave yard I have ever been to, the graves are for a family rather than individual and they are pretty big, most are made of solid marble and have alters in them and stained glass windows, and have a downstairs..... will get some pictures to day as were going back for an english tour.

Buenos Dias from Buenos Aires

So we're 4 days in to Buenos Aires now,

The first day we arrived we decided that the tourist shuttle bus wasn't for us and found our way to the local bus, rather than costing £16 it cost us 72p to get into downtown.. Now that's a saving!! We were the only foreigners on this bus clearly, and got some interesting looks. However people were so friendly and everyone told us where to get off the bus to get to our hostel easiest, and with hindsight they were all totally honest!

Buenos Aires is 4 hours behind the UK so we didn't suffer too much from jetlag but found we were really struggling by 8pm, but we even managed 10pm last night (saturday) after a glass of yummy local Melbec!

So far we have been walking miles and miles (about 6/7hrs a day), seeing the royal palace (think Evita) and soaking up the typical tourist spots. and non tourist spots where we found ourselves wondering around...

The widest street in the world is in B.A I think it has about 8 - 10 lanes of traffic on each side of the road with   a massive plaza in the middle that could probably fit another 15 - 20 lanes of traffic...All along the buildings at the side of the road is advertising with the centre piece being a huge advert for Adidas with Lionel Messi, who is an idol here!!!

On Friday (Jose you should be impressed) we went to the bus terminal/favella and ordered 2 single tickets to Medoza (the wine region of Argentina) on the overnight bus. The buses are great here, this is who we are travelling with: http://www.catainternacional.com/
All for £58 on the 'cama' bed, which effectively is a seat that reclines almost flat, we get dinner and everything! Brilliant.... We can't wait to explore the wine region there and soak up the mountains, in this region is the highest mountain in South America at around 7000 meters.

Today we are moving hostels from the current shit whole (HI I am surprised) to hopefully a better one (Kapake Palermo hostel). The one we are moving out of today is by far ideal (HI Obelisco)...bugs everywhere and James is getting bitten at night... He must taste good though....

He has actually begun to turn in to Karl Pilkington from "an idot abroad" as most who have seen the program will know James does have traits of this personality anyway, but tired, hungry and bitten with sore feet he is karl!!! Even the royal palace he was not willing to que for I think the quote was:

"so what, Madonna croaned from the balcony once, great!"

Anyway needs must so we have to get on, hope your all enjoying your easter bank holiday weekend, we will update again once in Mendoza!
