Best of Brazil Top 10

So tomorrow we leave Brazil after 2 months and head for Ecuador, Over the last few weeks we have been piecing together our best photos of the amazing places we have been and amazing people we have met.

So here are our top 10 of people and places! and a video we made.

We have only visited a tiny part of Brazil- this country is truly massive. Nobody can really appreciate how large and diverse it is until they come here.

Florianopolis - We stayed at a hostel called Submarino which was amazing and run by two really friendly Brazilians.

Curitiba - We visited the Serra Verde train from the city to the coast a beautiful journey.

Paraty - A small Portugese colonial town where we met Kristian and Kim a lovely couple on their honeymoon heading home after an 8 month trip! Very nice and generous people.

Ilha Grande - A beautiful island just south of Rio, a place away from the hustle and bustle.

Rio - We had an amazing time in Rio, we stayed at a hostel called Casa 579 a beautiful house set on a hill with panoramic views of Sugar Loaf mountain and Christ the redeemer. The staff here were unable to help enough, Vidar virtually planned our trip to the north of Brazil telling us where to go and when and what to see, an amazing guy not forgetting the other staff Kiri, Sofia and Nina the dog. We met a really fun couple called Chris and Emily and had an amazing few days, Chris and Emily were heading back to the UK after 3 years away!

Itacare - This place will hold part of our hearts forever! We stayed in an amazing hostel called Bananas, it had only been running for 6 months and was run by a couple called Pete and Debs from the UK. These guys always had time to make your stay as perfect as possible, and great party goers!
We also adopted our unofficial family here, we met the two Canadians Cassidy and Chad, five Danish girls Astrid, Lea, Liv, Kristine and Natuk and obviously  not forgetting our American friend from San Diego Reza!!

Lencois - The Chapada Diamantina national park is a truly beautiful spectacular place with rivers, waterfalls, valleys, caves, lakes to explore! Again we met a really interesting couple from Sao Paulo, Bruno and Marila these guys showed the Brazilian warmth and hospitality we have seen our whole trip!
